Final web design
After finalising all my plans and reviewing my plan i began building the visuals of how i would imagine my website to look. Unfortunately this is just a visual representation and does not include a working site however i felt it would be a good idea to show i i visualise the home page which customers would first see when entering the brand website. Of course on the real website i would link to different pages such as a product page and also an about us where i would discuss the sustainability behind the product and the story behind the brand.
As for creating the look I knew I wanted to keep that original colour and pattern way that is seen on my main honey and add those black details that I received a lot of positive feedback on during my presentation. I myself also like this idea as i feel it felt fun an playful and i wanted that to be reflected within my website. As for the layout i kept to the traditional header where customers would be able to click between pages. I then included an advertisement style photo so the viewer would see straight away as they scanned down the page. I then followed that with an 'Our Mission' section where the reader can briefly scan over the point of the company and the product whilst giving them the option to reader further by clicking to the about us page. Below this i simply added a mini version of the shop so customer who knew what they were looking for could do a quick add to cart and checkout. This was then followed by simple contact details, i wanted to make this obvious as a consumer it can be really frustrating to have to hunt through a website when simply looking for help from the business. Overall i felt the layout was rather clear and successful as it had a simple interface that could be followed by customers of all ages.
I did make a few changes from the original plan including changing the colour of the homepage bar and setting it off to the right to sit beside the logo just maximise the area. I also swapped around some of the different element for example the mini shop and the our mission. I chose to do this to create separation between the advertisement with the shop button and the mini shop. I also felt that it would be nice to have the our mission higher up so customer would see some information about the product and business first helping convince them to buy.
Above shows the format of the final design of the website overall i am really happy with the look and feel it is rather successful for a concept of how i would like the professional website to be. I am also really happy with the overall colours and feel they work great with the chosen imagery. As for the imagery used it was mainly created an used by myself apart from two images which i will reference below.
